Recently @Mike Mair and I explored our experiences in discovering, demystifying and aligning organizational purpose.

We created six questions that enabled us to tell our stories:

  1. What is your purpose? Why do you do, what you do?
  2. What were your career defining moments (that helped you to define your purpose)?
  3. When and how did you create your purpose?
  4. Has it been useful to have a purpose?
  5. When you work with teams and individuals to define their purpose – what have they seen as a result?
  6. Are there ways to monitor whether your purpose is being realized?
